The AP provided this headline to the world: “Schwarzenegger Misses Inaugural Kickoff”. Well, of course, he wouldn’t participate in the ‘kickoff’… he broke his damn leg!
But it wasn’t nearly as bad as the direct quote the reporter for the Sacramento Bee got from a certain ‘entertainer’ (FullHouseFunniestVideosAristocrats1vs100) at the event. And I cut-and-paste:
“I did his impeachment actually, I was in charge of that,” Saget said. “I did do 15 minutes at that event, and I didn’t curse or anything. I was very proud of myself.”
Mr. Davis no doubt will be quite surprised to learn that he was impeached, rather than recalled. Actually, that’s just the kind of off-the-cuff embarrassment you often get from Bob Saget, but I’m surprised the SacBee writer AND editors let it get by unannotated. I should look up who that paper endorsed for Governor in ’98 and ’02…
