Nyukscape

Been doing some aimless wandering through the web the last few days, although Popurls has helped keep me close to the most hip-and-trendy news aggregators. But I was wondering why the declared-a-failure-faster-than-”Studio 60″ new Netscape.com was on on Popurls’ list of pop urls. Now I think I know: Its “Do No Evil” channel has become an excellent source for “canonical-ish” humor lists, like:

Zen Sarcasm (a wish-I’d-thought-of-it title) including:

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone.
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a broken fan belt and leaky tire.
It’s always darkest before dawn. So if you’re going to steal your neighbor’s newspaper, that’s the time to do it.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you’re a mile away and you have their shoes.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
A closed mouth gathers no foot.
Experience is something you don’t get until just after you need it.

Thoughts for a Day (another winning title) including:

Now that food has replaced sex in my life, I can’t even get into my own pants.
Marriage changes passion. Suddenly you’re in bed with a relative.
I live in my own little world. But it’s OK. They know me here.
How come we choose from just two people to run for president and fifty for Miss America?
Isn’t having a smoking section in a restaurant like having a peeing section in a swimming pool?
Snowmen fall from Heaven unassembled.

And a list of reasons why Men Are (or should be) Happy, including:

Your last name stays put.
You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park.
The world is your urinal.
Wrinkles add character.
You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness.
Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack.
The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades.
You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache.

Thank you, Netscape, for writing this blogpost for me.

AND NOW A WORD FROM SOMEBODY WHO MAY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF ME...
