"Copyright & left"

This is where I declare my stand on Intellectual Property by stating the Copyright status of Wendell.Me (and some other things).

Unless otherwise credited, all content in this blog (except Reader Comments) is Copyright © 1999-2008 by Wendell Wittler, dba OneSwellFoop NetWorks. I will take reasonable action to protect my copyrighted material. Failure to do so is probably due to lack of awareness of infringement and should not be taken as acceptance.

Content that has previously appeared elsewhere is backdated to the date of original web or print publication. Content that I have written for hire elsewhere is not copyrighted by me, and will be labeled as such and linked to its place of publication. Direct quotations are credited, linked to sources if needed, and limited in length to be considered in good faith to be Fair Use. Some content is satirical in nature and therefore may resemble other copyrighted content. If you have problems with how I do it, email webster(at)thisdomainname and either (1) I’ll fix it, (2) we can work it out or (3) I’ll whup your arse.

Reader Comments are not intended to represented the opinion of Wendell Wittler or OneSwellFoop NetWorks and are Copyright © the person(s) who made them. Comments may be deleted at any time at the sole judgment of Wendell Wittler. (This is not a “Free Speech Zone” for anybody but me. Get your own blog.) I will NEVER alter or edit the comments of anyone else unless specifically requested to by the person who made the comment. If you wish to have a comment you made altered, edited or deleted, submit your request to webster(at)thisdomainname from the same IP address as the original comment was made, if possible.

Some previous content may not conform to current standards, but will be ‘brought up to code’ within a reasonable time. This policy may be subject to change or amendment at any time based on current standards of copyright law and practice. I think I’m a little too good at writing disclaimers.

AND NOW A WORD FROM SOMEBODY WHO MAY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF ME...
