Okay, back from the doctor; confirmed that my cardio-pulmonary system is weaker than the Economy but more tests pending to see what needs to/can be done and if it requires eating hospital food. But that’s not what I wanted to blog about…
In a trip to another part of the wacky, crazy county we call SLO (Arroyo Grande to be precise), I saw a storefront sign that gave me a WTF? moment:

Now, I thought that Occupational Therapy was all about regaining the ability to do your Occupation, your Job, usually a specific job, and the idea of applying it to KIDS just screamed out “CHILD LABOR” to me. Of course, “Occupational Therapy” is no longer just literally Occupation-related, but when does anything mean what it seems to say anymore? I can’t explain any more – I’ll let the website for that enterprise do the jargon-ing. Upon reflection, the name “New Directions For Kids” would have been much less useful, at least for people who know the jargon.

I kinda like that the “FOR KIDS” part of the sign is larger than the rest. It’s kinda like they’re saying, “No adults allowed in this clubhouse!”
