It is not my practice to make politically controversial statements here at WendellWit.com. I have made politically controversial statements elsewhere on the Weird Wild Web, most noticably at MetaFilter, but there are so many members there who have made so many politically controversial statements, that mine tend to be generall ignored, so I expect that I will not get into too much trouble until the time when that site’s general membership is arrested and sent to foreign toture facilities, which is at least two years off…
Anyway, as part of my policy of avoiding unnecessary controversy here, in light of the large number of recent accusations of crimes and other general malfeasance, President George W. Bush shall heretofore be referred to on this site as “the alleged President”, and I strongly reccommend other non-political websites to do the same.
Because when you have an ass like mine, covering it is not just self-preservation, it is also common courtesy.
